Tips to Avoid Parking at UK Airports when collecting people

Two options
1. The Long Term Car Park 1 allows free access for 15 minutes so travellers can get the free shuttle bus (or walk as it's only 5 minutes away) and get picked up. This option does require you to get your timings right so you really need to advise the car driver once the shuttle bus starts moving or when you commence walking from the terminal.
2. There is a free monorail connection from the airport terminal to Birmingham International railway station and this runs from 5 am until 2 am. There is free short term parking for rail users at the station (20 minutes max) so a car can be waiting there and then drive up to the station entrance when you arrive. There are cameras in the area so don't push your luck by waiting for a hour or so! This option is under cover all the way.0
