Received a e-mail today and it had a attachment that needed to be opened with adobe. i have opened other e-mails and found nothing wrong with opening them. But when i tried to open one of them today this is the message i got.

'a font required for fonts substitution is missing'

then next came this message.

'can't find or create the font 'andakwt' some characters may not display or print correctly'

then i got pages of blank lines like this

what's all that about.

how can i get to open this any help please as it's needed for work on monday.

Just to check - what error do you get after you have clicked OK?

this was the first message wheni tried to open it.

'a font required for fonts substitution is missing'

so i clicked ok then came this message.


'can't find or create the font 'andakwt' some characters may not display or print correctly'

i then clicked on ok and got no further message just a page with some english writing at the top then pages of ~~~~~~ un-readable material.

What should i download on the adobe page that you gave me. Also i have version 6 on my computer would i be better updating to version 7.

I would certanly try version 7 first, simply because it's so much faster than 6.

right thanks i have just downloaded version 7. Can't get into works e-mail gonna go to bed and try tomorrow. xx

I can find reference to an 'andakt' font but not andakwt font. Appears to be a foreign character font so you may not be able to read it - even if it could be displayed!
