So I better take my money out of Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank Corp (HSBC) then?

I hope you have an English TV & you drive to work in your English car.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:
  • I have had savings with ICIC and regularly move money in and out. I have had no problems and the one query I had was dealt with efficiently.

Only slight moan, they can be slow to transfer, but once you get used to giving a little more notice its no problem.

Why does ICICI not meet the Banking Code standards then? I believe the only bank operating in the UK not to do so.

I've been with ICICI virtually since it's launch and I've not had one single issue with them. I'd recommend them without question.

I am also with them since early start without any single problem. They are quite quick too regarding money transfer to linked accounts. Only receiving money from linked account takes a day longer than sending money.

Actually, there are several banks that do not subscribe:
    Century Building Society
    Harpenden Building Society
    C Hoare & Co
ICICI Bank UK Limited (application pending)
    Liverpool Victoria Banking Services
    Penrith Building Society
The Post Office (negotiations in progress)
    Ruffler Bank plc
    Weatherbys Bank
