Balance transfer without an expiry date

Hi
I am looking to do a balance transfer on to my partner's credit card (Lloyds TSB platinum mastercard, 15mth balance transfer) from a barclaycard and a M&S credit card. These are old cards that are long gone, with expiry dates of 01/02 and 06/12 respectively. An expiry date is requested when making the balance transfer and obviously these are no use as they have expired. Has anyone recently and successfully got around this by submitting a "valid" expiry date? ie a fake one? Please don't refer me to older posts about this as I've already seen them, just wondering if this is still an issue and if anyone has recently done this before I go ahead and try!
Thanks in advance! :-)

I done this many times using a fake expiry date and it worked. The most important thing is the 16 digit card number.0

So you're saying that as long as the account number is correct, the expiry date doesn't matter when transferring over?0

Yes it doesn't matter. If you were to ring and ask them to send out a new card, the long number on the front would be the same as that's your account number.0
