Dear Forum Members,
I have recently switched to RBS bank who have advised me of the £100 sign up bonus, but when I told RBS about the refer a friend scheme £30 for you and your referral, RBS did not have any knowledge of this.
Can this be clarified if this offer is valid or not. The link below shows the offer on this website.

In the article there is no reference to Royal Bank of Scotland , only Bank of Scotland, which offers a £100 signing up bonus. There is no reference to a £30 bonus from Bank of Scotland either, only Alliance and Leicester (see below).Get £30 for you and a friend by joining the right way
Alliance & Leicester has a 'refer a friend' system which pays £30 for each person you recommend to it and pays them £30 too. Therefore join with a friend (one joins first) and you can both profit; read the full Refer a Friend Loophole article. You can also get an extra £10 for signing up to mobile phone banking, just follow these instructionsThose depositing less than £1,000 per month shouldn’t go for this, as the interest dwindles to 0.1%. Instead, the top account (providing you earn over £6,300) is Alliance & Leicester’s Premier Direct*; you get 6.5% on everything in credit up to £2,500 (above that it’s 0.1%).
This rate is guaranteed for roughly a year, when it reverts to Bank of England base rate minus 1% (currently 4.5%). While this is an internet account, some basic till services are still available in branches.
Bonuses are available here too. ‘Refer a Friend’ and you’ll get £30 per person opening the account and they get £30 each too. This opens up a loophole so if you join with a mate you both get it, read a full Refer a Friend Loophole article.0 -
