"Listing correct at time of upload errors and omissions excepted."
Just exactly what does this mean in an Ebay listing....is it enforceable? can it be challenged?...
I've seen it appear in some listings now and I'm curious...does it mean the listing is correct or it isn't?
I know if I click to buy I'm in a contract (I think....lol) does this mean a seller can now walk away if they change their mind or something...is it something I (or all of us Ebayers) should be putting in our listings?
Cheers Everyone...happy selling!

Nonsense made up terms and conditions - using Ebay they have to conform to Ebay's rules. It does not give any confidence in the seller though as it makes you think there are deliberate errors in their description. It's meaningless because you can return items that are not as described whatever provisos are inserted.
Is it absolutemusicsolutions? They seem to have it on all of their items e.g.

I'm surprised such a large company has this phrase in their listings.0 -
that's them... does it mean though if we as sellers quote those words, we can pull out of a sale because we changed our mind, quoted the wrong price etc....obviously if an item is NOT as described...that's another can of worms...No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0

I think it was a term that used to be fairly common in printed adverts, it just meant that if the printer missed off a few noughts and an item costing £100 was priced at £1 in an advert you were not going to get it for £1 or the colour of an item may not be the exact shade shown in the advert etc.0

mmmm...printed adverts....just made me wonder about the bit "Listing correct at time of upload"...surely the that means it was all correct at the time the advert was uploaded....lol...wonder can they blame the Ebay upload system....just seems so curious and puzzling as to whether it has any basis in actual law or is it just a "device" to try and make their adverts more professional and add to their kudos as some large company or business....think it's a fail on that count...now as regards the legality on Ebay....lol
