Renting to a family member & housing benefit

I rent all my houses to relatives now - nobody has ever refused any of the housing benefit claims.

You need to start your own thread, and would be better posting it on one of the housing forum. This one is for benefits and tax credits.

But have you had any issues with your mortgage provider (if you have one) with this? I spoke with 5 high street lenders, and no-one will provide a mortgage if a relative rents the property. My mortgage advisor is trying to find a provider who will lend on this basis, but hasn't had any luck so far...
