excel query

does anyone know how to change the colour of a cell based on the value of that cell?
We are doing some financial stuff at work and it would be useful in our job costings column to make a cell go green if the value of that cell is +ve and go red if it is -ve.

you need to set up conditional formatting.

Highlight the cells you want to work with then click format and conditional formatting.

It should be self explanatory from there but let me know if you need any more help
