I agree but I either ask the person if they have given me the store number product details when making my enquiry by say would it be ok to say I was speaking to you whilst I was in store. Either that or I ask one their colleague and say that they were very helpful and wanted to let the manager know or write in to compliment them.

Why do people keep moaning about minimum wage? We are self employed, there is no such thing as a minimum wage for us we have the option of taking it or leaving it.

Signed up with Roamler a while back- didn't need a referral. Done a number of practise tasks at home, just fine. EVERY time I try to complete an actual paid one out and about, their app either fails me or they reject the task for no reason. I've emailed them about it and get no useful replies. Not worth the hassle IMHO!

Same here. When I have managed to pick a job up and tried to do it, the internet connection mysteriously fails once the report has gone through and I don't get paid! Hmmm indeed.

Did anyone manage to get any elections work for next week? One of my friends is doing it, poll clerk and counting, so after tax, she will be getting about £200. Plus if you work for the local authority, they pay you your normal days rate anyway, so bonus (well mine does)! Beats running around like a maniac doing mystery shops and then numerous reports anyday.

Out of interest, does anyone know when Albatross pay? Mine has gone from OK to pay to the folder at the bottom and I've not been paid yet. Confused dot com.

PS. Hope everyone is well and that you are all making millions with mystery shopping ;););)

People keep mentioning minimum wage because the agencies should have the decency to pay their shoppers the of equivalent minimum wage, rather than relying on the fact that we are self-employed and using that as an excuse to pay us pennies.

I've had a payment from Albatross supposedly ready for a few weeks. A week ago, I contacted them using the function on the website asking why I hadn't received it yet. Today, I received an email asking for confirmation of my paypal address. It is already entered in my account and is the same email address they use to contact me. I don't know if I'd do another job for them, to be honest.

No, people need to stop accepting low paying jobs, that way agencies might up the fee, but while there are fools out there still accepting jobs they will get away with it.

Minimum wage doesn't come into it, youre self employed get over it. you don't have to accept the work.

Mf are the worst offenders, yet they have a lot of people still willing to do the work

I'm over people whinging about the low paid jobs. It's certain people accepting them that has resulted in the general lowing of fees. If you don't like the fees don't do the jobs.

Depends, they can have their place and suit a need.

I wouldn't go out of my way to do one, but if I've got the choice between paying for my lunch while I'm doing the day job or getting reimbursed for a butty and a bottle of pop, earn a small fee. Why not? More often than not, it's the sort of report I can do on my phone/tab in 15 minutes on the bus or while someone else is driving.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
