Tattoos or unusual piercings perhaps? Or a very strong smell of lynx in some cases!

I'm filling in a questionnaire after a mystery shop and it asks for descriptions of the assistants I interacted with. After asking their approximate age, hair colour, description of hair style and approximate height it asks for any other distinguishing features and says please be as detailed as possible. It's a mandatory question. Sorry if I'm being dense, but what else are they looking for? Can I get away with putting N/A? Once you rule out the features that have already been mentioned and the ones you're not allowed to mention, like weight and race, there's not much left to say! Some people just look average! I'm annoyed because I made the effort to remember their names, heights, hairstyles etc and now I'm worried I'll get into trouble because I didn't notice they had a mole the shape of Spain on their forehead or something! :rotfl:

It means are they wearing glasses, do they have bright pink hair, multiple facial piercings...that kind of thing.

But what if they don't? One had a facial piercing and I've put that in, the others were just average looking blokes with no tattoos or piercings etc. Would it be frowned on if I put N/A?

Has anyone done a drop address assignment for ESA? Just feeling slightly dubious about risk to personal details....

I've done a few, no problems at all and your address gets removed from the database after the job.

From their website it looks like they only have work in Lakenheath and Mildenhall in the UK.

They do but they come from Canada. They are given out on a regular basis by email and are for pizza. But tbh the idea of having to cut the pizza into pieces and then take pictures of it which need to be okay from across the pond before I can eat just doesn't appeal to me...but each to their own!

    Generally I put:

    Estimate of height
    Estimate of age
    Hair length, colour and style
    Eye colour
Build (normally only say if they're slim, average or muscular, no comment if they're a pie fan)
Facial hair or clean shaved (men only)
    Glasses or not
Accent if it's different to the normal for that area
Ethnicity's a tricky one, normally I put if they're white, and don't otherwise, just make a note on the questionnaire I write notes on so it's available if queried.

Some MSC's don't like you to mention certain things, eg ethnicity, age, build, but they normally say this on the sheet.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

I always think it's bizarre when they ask you not to mention ethnicity. Fair enough avoiding calling someone fat or old, but being black is not an insult!!

It's generally more in case you get it wrong and cause offence that way. Saying someone's mixed race when they're south European, for example, or if you say something none-PC inadvertantly.

The bloke I used to be in business with was Indonesian, but used to get peeved with being mistaken for an Arab.

If a proof-reader queries a description, I normally give a full description even if includes things that they won't put in, and use police IC-codes for skin colour, they can either query that back to me or look it up and put it in their own words.
Identity Code (IC) – 6+1 Visual Assessment Ethnicity Code

    1 WHITE – NORTH EUROPEAN
    2 WHITE – SOUTH EUROPEAN
    3 BLACK
    4 ASIAN
5 CHINESE, JAPANESE, OR OTHER SOUTH EAST ASIAN
    6 ARABIC OR NORTH AFRICAN
    9 UNKNOWN

There's also the multinational company factors. Terms which are the norm in one country can be offensive in another and vice-versa.
