Did anyone watch that Tv programme last night ..... 'I want to be a German', an English family lived for a week as their equivalent Germans would. The wife found it very difficult 'cos she was suppose to do over 4hrs housework (not just cleaning) every day.

What channel was it on? I've googled but it just brought how to speak German up!:cool:

I could have written the OP myself!! I'm terrible, really hate housework, but if anyone is visiting I have to clean the whole house!

I've got a choice for the next hour or so - wash up, clean kitchen and strip the bed or sit in my sunny garden watching out for dolphins.

    What would you do? :D;):o

There is this website, if you click on "where to begin" at the top. Step 1 is about cleaning your house and keeping it clean, I thought it might be of help :) It splits keeping on top of everything into 7 steps, has cute print off charts and is the way I keep on top of things.

Quickly do the washing up and strip the bed, shouldn't take more than 10 mins. Then sit in the garden. Clean the kitchen later.

I can't relax if I haven't done the housework first, so I really wouldn't enjoy sitting in the garden knowing it was all still waiting for me.

Hope you get to see dolphins, you clearly have a much more exciting garden than I do!! :D

Watch dolphins, unless the washing up hadn't been done for a week, the kitchen was an inch deep in grease with every surface covered in rubbish and the bedding hadn't been changed since Cristmas ;)

I've done the bed - and I'm off to do the washing up now; kitchen just a bit messy not dirty, so stuff it for a while. :o

Quite right, the kitchen won't run away but the dolphins will.
