Hello,
My partner and I have decided to move from a joint account to seperate accounts as we have a growing debt issue and its mostly down to my partners spending!
We have decided to set aside a certain amount of pocket money each month for both of us but the only way this will work is if he no longer has any access to the current joint account/credit cards.
My question is what is a good account for us to open for him? He is currently a stay at home dad as I work full time so he doesnt receive any salary etc though he is currently applying for jobs as both our children will be in full time school starting sept. For the time being the account will only be used for me to transfer a set amount of money over to his account each month (£70). When he finally gets a new job he will have his salary transferred into it also and will then transfer money over to the main account to help with the bills.
Thanks in advance for any help:)

You open an account in your name either with your existing bank or a new one THEN go into original bank and get your name removed off the old account.0
