Website vanished

Website of a company has vanished!

My cousin has been looking for a good dog groomer, and I heard of a certain company from a friend. My friend gave me the details of the website for the company from a card she had, but I've looked it up and there's no trace of it anywhere. Unfortunately my friend hasn't been to this groomer in a while, but apparently hasn't closed . It was a mobile dog groomer.

I'm just puzzled as to how a website can vanish, I would have thought there would be some sort of page saying this website no longer exists or something

    what is the website name?

but has it vanished or having server issues ( showing errors)

but check the domain with a service like http://whois.domaintools.com/

    but domain could of expired,

they may have failed to pay their hosting fees,so host took their site down

may be having site redesigned, and in error took old site down

they may have changed hosts and their domain is not yet pointing to new hosts server

these are just a few reasons

    Its meant to be gemsdoggroomingni.co.uk.

Maybe they've stopped paying the hosting fees or getting it redesigned. In answer to your question, it seems to have vanished with no error messages, except one from google saying it cannot find it.

I'll just have to keep an eye out in case they put the site back up some other time :)

Looks like it's expired - the domain is available to purchase, assuming spelling above is correct.
