PPI from dated loans

Hello

I wonder if anyone can help please.

I took out 2 loans from HSBC (Midland Bank) one in 1993 and the other in 1997. Are these loans too far back to claim any PPI

I have written to HSBC but they have responded by advising that they do not hold records. I am currently looking for any paperwork that may be attached to these loans.

Should I let a PPI company research this and find out more information regarding the loans.

Many thanks

J

Not unless you haven't got a brain, a printer, or can type or write.

The only way you can make a complaint is if there are records left. the only way to do this is to send a SAR to them along with £10 to see if any info is left. It's not likely.

However, if there are records, and you can get hold of account numbers and you have good complaint reasons, then you can do it.

It might well be £10 wasted but that's your choice.

If you employ a claims company, they will make you do the same thing. They though, will charge you 50% of any potential redress, and also charge you if there is nothing to complain about.
