Skype and version 22 of Firefox

We use Skype every few weeks, but at the weekend, this proved to be quite difficult. Firstly we noticed that the contact I normally use had disappeared from the list and we had to go through the invite procedure. Also, we were invited to upgrade to the latest version which I did. Once that was done, we had lift off but at the expense of not having the small screen showing ourselves, so we couldn't position ourselves but we managed the call.

I have just taken a look at my extensions and noted that Skype is not compatible with version 22 of Firefox.

So, via "about Firefox" I noted that a newer version is available so have done that and now am version 23.

Via the Control panel, I have uninstalled Skype and aim to reinstall it to see if this makes any difference.

if its not compatible with version 22 then i doubt it will be compatible with version 23

You are probably correct, but there have been some issues with Vn 22, which now seem to have been fixed with Vn 23.

Edit: Just found the article below which says all fixed in Vn 23.

The original link did take you there. There was an http:// at the end of the link by mistake. The edited links should now take you to the correct article.

Try refreshing your screen, it may still be showing the un-edited page.

Well it is my belief it IS or will be working correctly when next it is used. After removing Skype and downloading it again, etc, the page where before there was NO webcam showing of me, WAS now. It might be that I'm not Skypeing anyone this week but when i do, I will report back.

Coincidently, lord knows what's happened, but the page has elongated and requires scrolling lt & rt now.
