Ok i'm doing your second rescue kit thing its going on my disk right now. then i just put that in my other laptop?


Ok it says its on the disk - should i put it in the other laptop before I press the on button?

do you think we should just call PC world and get them to take it and look? my OH has saved passwords on there though i'd worry about anyone seeing them.

well if it's not booting, they aren't going to see any passwords.

if you have data on there, try and get it off first, once it leaves your hands, assume your data and disk is gone - and look up prices of new hard disks before venturing to pcw (unless a new hard disk is covered under the deal)

From what I can see on the PC world whatever happens care plan insurance as long as it's nothing like cables etc, it's not excluded, it says on there if they can't fix it they'll give you another one.

I've put the paragon on my disk should I put it in my broke laptop before i start it up?

Right I put the disk in and I can hear it making the sounds but nothing is happening? all i can see if the same 'A disk read error...' message? am I doing something wrong?

it does say disk not disc?

how did you create the paragon disc?

you may need to press a key (often F12) or change bios settings for it to boot from cd before attempting hd boot

the message on the screen says 'a disk read error' yes

once I downloaded the paragon the wizard walked me through getting it onto the CD.

Ok now I have a screen 'Select transfer objects' but which do I need to place on the clipboard? the options are:
