I guess I was wrong, the main passport page and the visa page have same info.

But this still doesn't solve the problem that I raised earlier.

There isn't a problem except for the one you are finding for yourself. You want to rent a property? Unless you are in a part of the country where there are more vacant properties than there are potential tenants wanting to rent them, you jump through their hoops. Or find a landlord/agent who doesn't care whether you have the right to be here or not......

I lived in several international places and while they might now have the right.... if you like to get the place just give it to them. It's not a big deal and so many places ultimately will have your visa information that you should not worry about privacy. Better to shred your paper garbage at home - that will be more helpful.

But this still doesn't solve the problem that I raised earlier. I think you need to write down the address of your proposed accommodation in the visa application form as well as when apply for confirmation for acceptance of studies (CAS). So how can international students rent a property if landlords are unwilling to rent to them as they don't have a visa yet?

So what did you write on your visa application form etc? Are you going to stay there? Apparently not and yet you have a visa having provided an address.

    People's plans change - it's allowed.

I think I had to provide an address when I visited the USA for a vacation - but I didn't stay in the same place every night of my stay. I don't think the authorities were worried.
