Wireless Icon is missing

Hi,I have just installed Windows 7 on a relatives PC & no wireless icon is present on the taskbar.
Any ideas how to activate it as currently using a ethernet cable

look for updated drivers on the manufacturs web site or take the cover off the back and look for the make of the wireless card (often Realtek) and look on there
is it shown under hardware devices ??Ex forum ambassador

Probably far too simple but have you checked the little Up Arrow on the Task Bar that reveals Hidden Icons?... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -
Does this PC actually have a wireless card installed? Most desktop PC's do not.No free lunch, and no free laptop
