Compers wrist!

I have developed a ganglion (fluid filled lump) on my mousing wrist! I went to the docs this morning and she says it is probably due to overuse and to get rid of it I could try wacking it with a bible or other heavy object! ! :j I also suffer with bad cramps and stiffness in my second and fourth fingers on the 'adjoining' hand (the fingers I use to click the right and left side of the mouse)! So it seems I have 'compers wrist!'
AND to add to my comping induced aliments, I have also had to start wearing glasses lately too! So I need to win a bionic hand and spare glasses as I have already sat on and broke two pairs already! :rotfl: Oh and once I tripped over the dog and smacked the side of my head on the door rushing to open the door to the postie!

Welcome to my world
I've had the Ganglion for a year now and sometimes its gets bigger and quite painful. I can move it around and this gives me a huge amount of fun when comping gets a little slow:o
Glasses have been a must for ages.;)
Next comes the Tena pads so you don't have to step away from the pc too often
Oh, and don't hit it with a Bible/heavy book. If it does go it'll just come back. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

I have mousepad with a gel pad at the wrist this helps a little

But I haven't been comping for very long and am unsure as to the long term side effects.....so your post has given an insight into the need for preventative measures
I might have to look for a support group .... Compers annonymous Anyone ?:happylove Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves. :happylove0 -
I am also suffering from compers wrists/hands, have been for quite awhile one hand I have Carpal tunnel syndrome, where my hand and thumb go numb, plus, and the same as you BlueBella I have pain in the finger joints, and during the Advents last year by the end of the day all the veins in one hand swelled right up from overuse, so I have recently unfortunately had to stop posting wins on the facebook winners thread, and cutting back as much as I can, but I refuse to give up, until my hands drop off....0

I might try one of those gel pad things - and maybe one of those visors for the screen. Does anyone know if you wear the visor on your head? I have heard you can get them to protect your eyes but not seen any!?:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I also suffer from piles so sit on a rubber ring while comping with my furry claw slippers and wonky glasses on and lumpy wrist!
