Its personal preference really, Cloud is (on paper) the more convenient option but only because you don't have to unclip a hard drive and move it.0

The only problem with that is if other people play on the Xbox, if you run off with the HDD they won't be able to play. Of course saving to a USB stick is an option.0 -

True, but that doesnt matter to the OP I think, or me for that matter!
The USB stick method I tried myself, by putting my save games and profile on USB but keeping installed games/DLC on the HDD. Unfortunately the 360 is not always intelligent enough to use files from 2 local devices and I found I had to have all game content (installed file, DLC and saves) for it to work 100%.
Cloud is a wonderful idea in theory, but Ive heard one too many horror story recounted to me of lost saves and being blocked from playing for me to trust it.;)0
