Does she have a joint bank account with her housemates for things like paying bills?
  • I think she should give up the job and the car at the beginning of term. Look for a job at Uni or see if her supermarket will take her back during holidays only.

    totally agree with this.

She works at Sainsburys, who have not been wonderful as regards the transfer/dual store. They don't keep jobs open.

She's not prepared to give up a job when they are hard to come by, and I don't blame her. I'm very proud of her work ethic. Apart from which she earns more in her job than she spends on the car.

She knows that she will have to get a job when she transfers to another uni for her third year and the idea was that Sainsburys would be able to transfer her to wherever she moved - however this is now unlikely given how unhelpful they've been so far.

    Regards
