Sports Direct Praise

Options
I know I'm going to get burned for this but have a very positive experience with Sports Direct on Saturday...
Both my (grown up) son & daughter had ordered stuff on line from SD & due to their own fault had missed the 7 days DSR returns window.
Daughter had a coat £14.99 with a delivery date of over a month old & son had returns totalling over £100 from MAY!!!
Went to the store in Doncaster not expecting to be able to return stuff ordered on line over 2 1/2 months ago...but they happily, no quibble refunded all the items on to gift cards valid for 18 months.
The three of us then spend various amounts of the gift cards each and went to the till, hot busy Saturday with 3 large transactions to be served by (probably a zero contract) young girl who was a model in customer service, friendly, polite and efficient.
If you don't like certain stores, we all dislike various shops for various reasons, why shop there and then complain when they operate within the law?
If you’re a first time buyer I can understand being put out if you didn't know their returns policy, one should never assume tho', but if you’re an experienced MSEer you will know that this is the law and getting any non-fault returns refunded is a bonus-not a right!
Rant over...please form a queue to have a go at me :grouphug:

Funnily enough the people who criticise SD are possibly the ones who don't get treated, when shopping in there, as they are treated in stores like M&S and JL.

If SD were that bad they would have gone out of business by, now, like JJB;)

But what's the betting someone comes along and accuses you of either working for SD or being the mum or aunt of the girl who served you!

I'm pretty sure SD have a 3 months return policy, this includes damaged items as well though,

for example you have a pair of goalkeepers gloves, you don't use them straight away but only use them for the first time say just over 3 months from when you bought them, they fall apart, no refund, now if you used them within the 3 months and the same thing happened you get a refund

I've bought stuff from Sports Direct and I've never had a problem with them. And I've always found the staff to be pleasant and efficient.

I hate SD stores because they are always packed and everything is packed in tight - however, there's a reason for that. The prices are good, there's loads of stuff the boys want and if service is a bit dodgy it's because they are so busy.

Never had a problem shopping online and they have saved me lots of money over the years :T

What has the fact that she may be on a zero hour contract got to do with anything?

But good to hear a positive story about SD on here.
