Can a child attend 2 nurseries?

Can a child at that age cope with 2 nurseries should be the question. It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

I would not suggest starting both nursery settings at the same time.
More to stagger it, probably a term (12 apart) min0 -
Thanks everyone.
Sorry only just realised so many have replied.
I wouldn't be starting him on 2 nurseries immediately. The first one is September (the one I pay for), they also won't accept the 2 year old funding. So when he's 2 he will start a pre school nursery. I'm pretty sure he'd cope as he loves playing with other children and is not shy with strangers. He also doesn't mind being left (although he has only been left with close family so may be a problem).
If he wasn't coping would the nursery ring?
I know it sounds selfish leaving him so much but I feel working means I can earn him more treats and fun things to do at the weekend.0 -
Nurseries are acutely aware some children struggle when they are left. So they will have policies on how they deal with children struggling to settle.
Ask the particular setting what they do.
Don't feel guilty leaving him. As you say he is a very social child and will benefit from the interaction of a good childcare placement0 -

Some children settle in quickly and others take longer. The setting should have settling in sessions before he starts and it may involve a short play with you staying, then another session with you going out of the room and then maybe him staying for a meal. Sometimes children can be fine for the first couple of sessions and then when they realise you are leaving seperation anxiety may happen, but this will sort itself out when they learn that you will be back each day to collect. Make sure you give the Nursery as much information as you can in
advance about his likes, dislikes, routinues at home and send in comforters and maybe back up food and drink from home in case he does not like the Nursery food to start with. Any good setting will not mind you ringing during the day to check on how he is doing. You could also keep talking to him about how much fun he is going to have in the Nursery before he starts and he will be allocated a key person responsible for his overall care and development in the Nursery so you could chat about how nice this person is. They will also feed back daily information to you verbally or via a daily written sheet.0
