Im having trouble with barclay,two weeks ago I tried to book a holiday through sunmaster online and I used my master card to pay and I did not remeber my security password and I canceled,it did not go through,after few days I find something bit cheaper and I booked it with my visa. I go on-line and see that transaction whent through,I call barclays and they say I have to take it with travel agency,now all this hasele for what?

Yes, I think it is that.

I think that you can only say no to set it up - once you did set it up, it won't let you further...

Once my Tesco card didn't even let me further unless I do set it up (first few times I could decline, but after that I had to set it up. Like you had to have it, it was just question of time. But it only happened on that one card.)

VbV as the MasterCard Secure are retailer based systems. If the retailer choses to override its use. Then it is their choice.

OP. You will have to take it up with the retailer.

Did they not send a confirmation email? (spam/junk folder check time)

yes the first transaction,and yes that verified by visa,I did not know that you can choose not to have it or whetever, I did not remebered I cancell it,and no e-mail confirmation or nothing,until I go on-line yesterday morning and I saw 1487.00 I thought Im gona loose my mind,but when I spoke with barclay they said that they will suspend it and they will send some forms to me for signin and they do whatever he said,but 3000 for 1 week holyday for me!!!
