things to do near legoland

Hi, we are going to legoland this Sunday and staying in a hotel in maidenhead. We'd like to do something on the Monday before going home but not sure what. Don't really want to do Windsor castle, and don't want to be driving round getting lost, was thinking of maybe leaving car at hotel and getting a bus/train somewhere? Any ideas much appreciated thanks :-D

Trains go to Henley on Thames which is a pleasant town for a day out. The journey is about 30 minutes. There is a walk along the river and space on the meadows to play and picnic. Alternatively London is about 45 mins by train.

From Maidenhead maybe drive to Bracknell and go to Go Ape and theres a adventure swimming pool next to it.At Reading junction 12 there is child beale http://www.bealepark.co.uk/ .
http://www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/search.php?county=Berkshire may also be worth a look.From maidenhead you are 1 junction away from Reading,and places like Bracknell,Henley,wokingham etc are all about 20 mins non motorway drive max and all well sign posted from Maidenhead.
