PCP price change after deposit paid

Hi,

Agreed to a PCP contract the other day and they just phoned to tell me they missed off some charges for delivery and tax which has now added on an extra 700 and changed monthly payments a bit.

My question is should I try and argue/haggle the change as I had actually agreed on the original amount and put my deposit down on that.

If I do argue and wish to cancel am I entitled to my deposit back in this scenario.

£700 is a substantial change. I'd contact them and threaten to cancel unless they revert to the original. How did you pay the deposit? If you paid by credit card and they say you can't have it back threaten them with a charge back and see what they say.

This will not have been "accidental" the sales person will have known all along what the real figures were they're trying it on.

Thanks for the advice.

It was put on my visa debit card which doing a quick search I can also use a charge back on. Hopefully it wont come to that.

If I genuinely thought the sales person had made an honest mistake I might not argue it but it does just seem like a cheeky tactic to get money back for the price I got them down to.

So I asked for them to honor the original agreement but she said she could not. Then offered me a free tank of petrol.

We finally agreed she would just refund our deposit.

I know that the price keeps going up but that would have been one very expensive tank of petrol!
