She'll have to if we cant find a solution, but as we are refitting the property we are trying to install exactly what we want / works in the way that we want - I'm sure we'll end up making compromises but its not easy negotiating with my wife - especially when she knows the technology exists.
My other half is like that, if its possible, even if you need a NASA engineer, she wants the most complicated solution, to avoid the smallest inconvenience.
I normally solve it by pricing up her option and the sensible option and telling her that she can have expensive option but we won’t be able to afford her spa days (or shoe habit) until we've made up the £X,XXX difference, she normally sees sense ...0 -
I started managing expectations yesterday by showing her the redring shower! She then looked at the Aqualisa / Mira options which are far more modern looking and come in a range of nice finishes. Hopefully she'll make a good choice.0

ohhh thats a good idea, start off saying
"I think all we'll be able to mannge is a bucket of cold water with a sponge on a stick due to 'building regs'..."
then by the time you get the sensible shower in you're a hero!

my last rental house had a 10Kw Mira galena shower (the slate effect one) and it was good enough for us, and reliable.
