Tesco Card Application & BT

Hi.

My wife applied for Tesco card over the weekend. It was approved online and at the same time she requested balance transfer.

When she log onto online banking it says:-

We're processing your recent Credit Card application. When you receive your card, please log in again to see how you can manage your account online. You can see your transactions, check your balance, make payments and more quickly and easily.

I know its too early yet but any idea how long will it take for the BT to be processed? and how long will then take for the funds to reach the destination.

Hi,

It took me about 3 weeks to get through the checks - they just asked for some additional information, earnings and so on.
Once that was passed, the BT was sent across within a week.

Btw, did you manage to get the 1000 points for someone referring you to Tesco CC?

Not sure how long it takes them to process the bal tranx so it would be wise to make minimum payments on the other cards until this has gone through.

The card will normally arrive within a week. Obviously when you get it you can check online.

When I got mine the b/ts were already processed.

Be aware that if you have set up a DD for you Tesco card payment this can take a long time to be set up.

I took out the card mid July and the payment was due 05 Aug but the DD did not go through.

They put a £12 late payment fee on my acc but have susequently refunded it as the DD was in place.

The chap I spoke to on the phone said that it should say on your statement if the payment will be taken by DD or if your need to pay by card. I'm not at all sure I even got a July statement so just keep an eye out!
