One for PC experts - Old hard drive not detected on new motherboard?
Comments

I used to make Seagate drives, and it sounds like you need to flash the BIOS either on your computer, or the hdisk.0

What BIOS is installed on the motherboard? The latest one on Gigabyte's download page is F5.0

Hi
Just a quick one, don't suppose you installed Bitlocker on the old drive from the old PC? If so you won't be able to access the drive on a different motherboard. However if the new PC starts to boot but then stops at the Starting Windows screen it is due to the BIOS settings, I know others have suggested Legacy mode, but do you have a 'Native' mode? If so try that. One last thing is to go to Disk Management as it might be detected but coming up as not active.0
