If your doctor is willing to give you a fit-note then you could claim ESA which would be contribution based if you've paid sufficient NI contributions. After approx 13 weeks you would be assessed with a form ESA 50 to complete and possibly a face-to-face WCA or 'medical' If you are still employed though it may be better to stay with them and on sick for the time being.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
