I can't work it out?

We only have gas for heating and hot water, we live in a 2 bed bungalow and the cost is going to be £85pcm from September.
Our Electric is going to be £65 pcm, We pay monthly by direct debit.
Should I ask the energy provider to check the meters as I cannot for the life of me work out why the gas is more than the electric when we use loads of electric

What makes you think you use loads more electric? Average UK gas consumption for people in your situation (gas heating and hot water) is 3,300 KWh of Electricity a year, and 16,500 KWh of Gas a year.

The vast majority of people use more gas than electricity.

Heating and hot water are the two main users of energy within a house. Lighting, not too much. Cooking can use a lot when it's on but it's maybe only on for a couple of hours per day. TV, computer and such like are in-between.

I wouldn't over-worry but you could do a rough check yourself by watching the meters when individual appliances are on.

As above. Assuming that you have gas CH and DHW, it's your electricity that's too high, not the gas. £65 implies a usage of about 6,500 kWh pa. That's almost twice the national average.
If you want meaningful advice then post your annual kWh usage on each fuel, as monthly DD amounts tell us nothing about your actual usage. The increase may simply be the result of a catch up bill, if you haven't been submitting regular reads.
