Another note on ombre hair.....it is the latest fad. I'm must be getting old, as I think it is the most hideous fashion since flares. People PAY lots of money to have the grown out root affect?!? WTAF?

But to get it even semi acceptable, it is a notoriously hard hair technique to do without making a mess of it.

£100 is NOT high end either in most parts of the country. That's a cut and colour.

Just put it in paint and paint over her face.

When I first read this I thought you were referring to the daughter and her hair!

People can have what hair colour they like, fad or not. In terms of the OP the only fair thing is to return to the salon and say that something has gone wrong and can they fix it. They should make reasonable attempts to do so, but they should be given the chance IMO. You could also get another salon to try and fix the problem and send the original salon the bill, but such a course of action might not be seen as being reasonable, especially if it was a hard hair-cut to get right.

Yes it is, but you've spectacularly missed the point. It would seem she AGREED to an ombre hair colour. What op is described, is pretty much an ombre colour.

So who is to say anything has gone wrong? Op agreed to ombre, that's what she got. So it's very hard to say without pictures if it is as it should be or "buyer remorse".

If you don't want to post a photo of your daughter, can you post the pic she asked to be copied?

Kate Beckinsale has had ombre hair so it's possible that your daughter has got exactly what she asked for.

I've never heard of ombre hair but it sounds awful.

If the girls hair looks like ombre hair then no, it hasn't gone wrong, it's supposed to look like that, which she agreed to, albeit that she didn't know what she was agreeing to.

This is the beautiful and very rich Jessica alba and a fashion mag saying how good her hair is.....

Most people when they say ombre are thinking this.....

    Dip dyed blocks basically.
