Does anyone have a John Lewis First Collection kitchen? If so how have you found it? Does anyone know if these are still Mereway kitchens or if not who manufactures it.
We're looking at the Ivory Skyline as we like the "J handles" (i.e. handle-less with a sculpted finger pull ridge). There Savina one from the Continental Collection is very similar but more expensive and apart from the curved units we can't identify any real differences if we just want off-white. Any thoughts? Anything we should be aware of?
We're thinking of a Corian top although they seem really pricey from JL, anyone used an alternative supplier that they might recommend?

I can't comment on the units, but when I was looking for my kitchen, I found Corian to be very expensive no matter where it was from.
I fell in love with the stuff at first sight, but sadly for me it was just too much. It does scratch as well, unless you're very careful. They don't recommend the darker colours for kitchens for this reason.0 -
Have you thought about alternative suppliers? Howdens Glendevon Cream is very similar but at a better price!Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

John Lewis' First collection is made by Symphony. You can do far better than that for a similar price or get the same kitchen for a lot less from a dealer selling Symphony kitchens.
Symphony is a very basic budget kitchen supplier. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
