Hi
Is it possible for me to pay for my son's flight home from Hong Kong on my Barclaycard?
I ask this because I'm sure I had a problem previously as the card used for payment had to be presented at the departing airport?
TIA

Some airlines state that the card has to be shown at the airport, but this rarely happens in practice. BA and EK service this route and I have used both without showing the card of purchase.0

If you book directly with the airline they can ask for the card to be shown. If you book via an agent they clearly cant ask for the same because they wont know what cards been used as they'll never have been given the details.0

Thanks for that, but if there is an official way of doing this I would be pleased to know as I can't afford him being turned off a £500 plus flight for this reason!

With BA, you are only (sometimes) asked at the card at check in. As long as you check in online (from 24hrs before departure) you aren't asked for it.0

Thank you very much for this.
Previously I have always booked international flights through the airlines. Can any MSE folk recommend reputable agents as there are so many horror stories around!?
TIA
