Turnout time getting a new line installed with Talktalk

We need a new phone line installed (to get broadband) with I think its likely we'll go with Talktalk (its BT Openreach doing the install though it isn't it?), does anyone have an idea of what the turn around time is to get one installed from the day its ordered? (we are in central London).
Also, if its a new line and the broadband service is ordered at the same time will they be able to activate the broadband right away or do you have to wait several days after the line goes live to get broadband service?

Broadband may follow a few days later, or it may be weeks, or it may be months, or they may not provide any broadband at all.
Don't factor in anything because Openreach is involved. You'll be dealing with Talk Talk.0 -
Humm .. okay, not entirely helpful. Googled a bit more and found BT page that suggests up to 15 days for line install so assuming that'll be the case for TT too and a TT twitter response suggests broadband will activate same day in most cases.Broadband may follow a few days later, or it may be weeks, or it may be months, or they may not provide any broadband at all.

3-4 weeks is typical for a new line provision, but it depends on local workload on your exchange.
Yes, OR do the physical install, but all the liaison has to be done via TT, and that's where the problems start. No free lunch, and no free laptop

As OR deal with the line install and all Telco's use the same ordering system then whoever you use should give a similar date, no one company gets priority, as far as getting line and broadband at the same time they can do this, but depending on the exchange and if the chosen company offers full MPF unbundled lines, or combined line and broadband orders, it should be possible to get both at the same time, but check with the company, bearing in mind they will probably lie to you to get the sale,
you wont get broadband first, but could get broadband and line together, as already said dates vary, depending on local circumstances,
if the property has had service before then it may be possible to reconnect easily and this may give a shorter date, if the property has never had service, then a longer install wait should be expected, if it's a new build property, then it's not just OR you are dependent on but the developer as well,0
