My Daughter had an 8GB iPod Touch for Christmas 2010. We took the extended cover out on it just in case and bought one of those 'indestructible' Griffin cases for it.
A couple of weeks back we noticed it would no longer dock with our stereo although the rest was working as expected. On closed inspection of the dock connector I could see a couple of the metal contacts had peeled back, stopping the circuit from interfacing with the stereo.
Well, this morning my OH took it back to Argos to see if we could get it repaired under the extended warranty but was told they no longer stocked this model.
Instead, and without fuss, they replaced it with a 16GB iPod Touch 4G and gave my OH a £20 voucher for the inconvenience of having to take it back.
Thank you Argos. We have a happy little girl again.
