Super Smash Bros. brawl, and Legend of Zelda!
  • Seconded on De Blob. Did anyone play Okami by the way? Heard it was very good but still haven't got round to trying. I'd also second (third? Maybe fourth?) Mario Kart, Rabbids and the Lego Games.

Okami is amaaazing but I think actually better on ps2, because the controls are more precise/less frustrating on that than on wii.
  • Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword is my favourite.

In my opinion, anything that properly uses the Wii remotes is good. Which is mainly sports games.
Anything where you use the Wii remote as a controller (e.g. you have to use the arrow buttons on it) isn't so good.

    Super Smash Bros.

Reason alone to purchase a wii.

Not to mention Super Mario Galaxy, one of the highest ever voted games on Metacritic.

You can also play your Gamecube games on there and there are some real gems on the Gamecube, a very underrated platform

Any Zelda game. You can play gamecube games too (although you need to get a controller to play them), I recommend wind waker and if you can get it the ocarina of time gamecube version. Also, on the line of gamecube games, the original animal crossing is amazing.

But wii games, zelda games are my fave by far. :) also any of the lego games are fun too oh and paper mario. :)

But if you're looking for family fun, warioware!

A note about the wii/gamecube compatibility:

Not every wii is backward compatible. If yours was manufactured late 2011, around the time they were dropped to £79 in most shops, you'll find that a reason for the price drop was they no longer put in the gamecube ports and removed the gamecube game compatibility. So check before you buy any GC games.

I really liked Mortal Kombat for the Wii as well as Super Smash Bros

Mario Kart is an absolute MUST HAVE
Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
