Delinquent Account - Advice Needed!

Dear All,
My credity rating is showing as poor on experian and fair on equifax.
One of the reasons that I am being given for having a poor rating is that I have a 'delinquent account.' Untill recently I had never heard of this term, only being aware of either defaulted accounts or CCJ's etc.
The account in question is linked to RBS, and is from an outfit called Style Financial Services.
The issue that I have, is that the account was defaulted in 2008, as I had got into a little bit of difficulty back then. I paid off the account in full in early 2009, and succesfully had the Financial Ombudsmand rule that the default had been filed unfairly (due to the fadct that no notice had ever been sent etc).
The ombudsman ruled that the default be overturned, but that the payment history did not have to be rectified, wiuth the historical late payments remaining as being shown. I had no issue with this at the time, as it was a true reflection of my payment history.
This account now shows as being settled with a nil balance, but the last payment, although being for the whole amount, and therefore cringing the account back into line, still shows as beiong late, and therefore the status of the account shows as 6 payments late.
In my view that account should show as satisfactory as the last payment was not late and settled the account in full.
I have tried to argue with the company regarding this matter, but they have said that as the account was paid in full, I did not bring the payments back into line, and the last entry relating to the account should remain as showing it was 6 payments late.
Please can someone help/give me some advice as I do not know what else I can do to have this entry rectified.

You can ask the CRAs to raise a dispute with the lender for you, but if they stick to their guns the CRAs won't amend it without the lender's say so. You're other options are to escallate your complaint about the status 6 to either the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Office of the Information Commissioner and/or add a note to your credit report explaining the circumstances. As things stand this entry will remain on your credit report until early 2015.

I have done this and Style will not amend the entry. Is this allowed, as I thought a status 6 could not be used instead of a default, therefore when the ombudsman ordered that the default be removed, he should have also ordered that the status be reflected as satisfactory as well.
