Can I get a "thing" to show drawing/writing on a screen using my projector that connects to my computer?

You can certainly buy projectors that connect to a laptop using the standard VGA or DVI connections. Some of them are quite small these days.
Most can be stood on a table for portable use, or hung from the ceiling for a permanent fitting. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Yes. You plug a projector into the VGA Out socket.
There's a few on Ebay

or you could try your local PC shop.0 -
Sorry, I already have the projector, what I am looking for is something to convert it into an OHP?
Needs to be something with a touch screen to draw on and project.0 -

This sounds like the type of thing you could do with:

You connect your laptop to your projector as normal, then sync this device to your laptop. You can then use it to draw/write etc onto your laptop with the smart tools application (and save the resulting creations as whatever format you want, PDF etc)
Try looking on ebay for them, might be able to nab one cheapish0 -

Thanks The Magnificent Spoon and bluesnake that looks like what I am after but didn't know what it is called. Will now look for a bargain.0
