Rainbow/Happy Roses, where can I get them???

Options
Urgently looking for Rainbow/Happy Roses as they are known for part of my wife's birthday. Interflora have them, tried ordering but seems to be some fault with the website....stating courier delivery unavailable that day ( I tried over 20 diffrerent dates to confrim its their website knackered ) even tried different bouquets and the same answer......seeme to only be with FREE delivery flowers though.

I have scoured the internet and can only find them on InterRose at the pricely sum of £70

They are lovely though...its the actual rainbow coloured ones I am looking for and not a bouquet made up of various coloured roses.

Can anyone please help ???

Have you asked a local florist? -- they should be able to source them from wholesalers if they have a few days notice

  • Hi dblue75

interested to know what these roses were did a quick search and came across this site, http://www.trianglenursery.co.uk/store/search?term=rainbow+rose&AncestorId=2 no idea if and how you could purchase from a wholesale site, but worth a try at there prices.
Please let me know if you succeed, might try for a Birthday coming up, they look lovely.

In true MSE fashion - make your own!

Buy some long stem white roses and food colouring.
Cut the stem of each into 2, 3 or 4.
Put each section of stem into separate containers of different food colouring mixed with water and wait for the roses to change colour.

We did this with carnations back when I was still at school :D

A very useful suggestion if you want each rose to be one colour. However, a true rainbow rose has all the colours in one rose

They would only be one colour if you put the whole stem of one rose into one colour of dye but by splitting the stem and putting it into several colours of dye it creates a rainbow effect.
