home insurance includes both buildings & contents. its an umbrella term.

I took out contents only with ltsb through quidco the 120 is tracked.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I helped my parents do their insurance. Contents were £95 through Barclays, £120 cash back from Quidco. Buildings £125 through Barclays, £95 back through Quidco. So in effect, their insurance cost £5 for the year! :D

i`ve got a direct line policy i had through quidco last year.

Do you have to accept the renewal or can i sign up again fresh through quidco and get the £100 cashback they are currently offering?

Not sure if quidco is only one cashback per user or what, would rather stick with the reputable direct line :)

Im a bit unsure about changing companies again when one big company refused to pay out when the rain came through the ceiling.

There reason........it hadnt rained enough that night to justify a flood claim according to the met office.

Cancel the renewal and start afresh. You can then go through quidco again, even if it's the same company.
  • So can anyone tell me for sure please whether I can go through quidco for home and contents with cashback after just taking out car insurance with the Pru yesterday with £100 cashback. Should I choose a diff incurance company? my renewal for buildings and contents is with direct line and it has gone up quite a bit.

If they are due on the same day and you decide to go through the same company for both, I would do one of them and wait a couple of days before doing the other, just to be on the safe side. Just my opinion, others may differ!:D

I took out contents insurance only through quidco, morethen is the insurer and the cash back is £100. I saved myself over a £100, previously with Lloyds TSB paying over £200 a year got if for £112 and increased the cover!! so I really got the insurance for £12 for the year.
