The seller has to take responsibility for this so if they deny all knowledge or refuse to communicate then you will have to take Paypal action. If the item is not as described as you say then put a claim in with Paypal saying item is not as described. You have a very good case and are well protected. Just try to work things out with the seller first, let them know your not happy and if they won't sort anything out then Paypal will.

If the seller is denying responsibility, try a paypal Goods Not As Described.

By the way, it's BOUGHT (as in 'to buy'), not BROUGHT (to bring).

Thanks for your help (and the English lesson!), if I take this course of action can the seller leave feedback (I dont want a neg 100% at the mo) and will i have to incur the cost of returning the golf club to him can i reclaim it?

As far as I am aware you will need to pay to return it and make sure you send so that you have proof when they receive it. I think they will be able to leave feedback, what's their feedback like if its good then they won't want a neg either.

You shouldn't really have to pay to send it back though - bit off when the item wasn't described with this problem. Personally I'd start to think about calling your credit card up and asking for a chargeback.
