Silverstone help please

My daughter and her boyfriend are travelling to Silverstone from West Wales in a couple of weeks for a driving experience. They are hoping to make a long weekend of it any suggestions for anything worth seeing in the area or on the way. Thanks

Loads to do around here, depending on what they like doing.

Several nice National trust properties and gardens nearby:

Stowe and Canons Ashby are both within 10 miles of Silverstone.

If they're shopaholics they could visit Bicester Outlet Village which has lots of designer stuff on offer: Kipling. Cath Kidston, Radley etc
or Milton Keynes has an enormous shopping centre with all the big stores.

Stoke Bruerne is a nice local canal walk which also has some nice pubs, and restaurants to eat in.

Oxford is a nice day trip from here, but use the park and ride or go by train from Banbury, as it's a nightmare to park there.
