Its not been on any of mine.
Are you certain? What companies have you used?
I'm trying to think of the various companies I've had insurance with. Off the top of my head I can think of: People's Choice, Hastings Direct, Churchill, Lloyds TSB and Direct Line. All of which stated a number of years NCD on every renewel.0 -

Aviva, Elephant, Direct line, Tesco's. Adrian Flux.
I seem to recall always having to ask for proof of my NCD to be sent to me, so I can post it to the new company.0 -
So far, every company I've moved to have accepted my declaration on the proposal. Never been asked to prove NCB,I am not a cat (But my friend is)0

The only company that has demanded NCB proof has been the Co-op.
Check your renewal quote carefully, sometimes NCB entitlement isn't obvious to see, in fact the thicky at the Co-op couldn't find it even when i explained over the phone where it was, a most unpleasant individual she was and once the year was up i went elsewhere.
Co-op now a very different animal to the old and better days when they employed local reps operating from their own homes.0
