Ryanair hand luggage/bum bag

Has anybody recently travelled with Ryanair wearing a bumbag? I appreciate the one item of hand luggage rule, but it's a pain having to open your suitcase to get travel documents out at each check point. So I'm hoping a bum bag may be the answer, and it can be worn rather than have to be put in your suitcase (hand luggage).

Worst case scenario is that you'll be asked to put it in your handluggage when boarding so as long as you leave room for it you'll be fine.0

http://www.ryanair.com/en/questions/what-are-ryanairs-packing-guidelines
"Please note that your (handbag, briefcase, laptops, shop purchases camera etc must be carried within your permitted 1 piece of cabin baggage. Checked baggage will be matched against the passenger list prior to loading"
So, according to this it will need to be put in your hand luggage. No need to do this until the point of boarding though.0 -

You don't need to do this. You can carry your bumbag/handbag with your travel docs as you normally would right up to the departure gate, pop it in your carry on just before you board and get it out as soon as you get on the plane. There's certainly no need to be putting it in your case anytime before that.
It's a bloomin farce, don't they realise they'd board quicker if they didn't have people rummaging around in their cases getting their handbags out once they've boarded.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I usually take a "cross body" small handbag with me, the straps (obviously) cross my body, it's fairly flat and is covered with my jacket.
Once on the plane I have papers, passport, sweeties and money with me rather than have to scrabble through my hand luggage holding everyone up.
I've not been stopped yet - however, now I've written that .............?Normal people worry me.0 -
Thank for your replys. May as well go with a small handbag I think if I'm going to have to end up putting it in my hand luggage case anyway. Cheers!!0
