Trade sales - when will next ones generally be?

Hi,

I've mentioned in another thread that we are going to be renovating a property soon. Looking at the sites for kitchens, bathrooms, windows, etc they all have their summer sales on...ending soon (well before we will want to buy).

When are the next 'round' of sales historically due to start?

It's one of those where I don't pay attention to them until I need to use them.

Is there a Autumn sales season?

Cheers,

Rick

There is no such thing - marketing gimmick. Just go in and negotiate the best price you can or at least one with which you are satisfied. You will, however, have to try a bit harder if they don't have an "offers" on that week.

    Cheers

Usually the fitters can get a better discount than the man on the street for things like kitchens etc...so see what your trades person suggests before you go down the route of sourcing too much yourselves.

for something like windows, dont even go near these big companies that offer large discounts...head for an indepdant smaller company armed with the phrase"is that definately the best price you can offer me"...it works far better and generates a good price straight off and is much less hassle than the repeated after quote calls from these big headline companies

Although in fairness you perhaps should get a quote from one biggie...just to balance it fairly when making a decision...we did and 13 months later im still receiving a monthly call from them asking me if I would like to discuss their quote further!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

    Hi,

Thanks for the replies to you both. I'd like to support a local supplier so will get our builder to recommend anyone he knows and try and do some further research too (and ask on here nearer the time too!).

It's in the NW near Warrington so I'll be asking for advice for that area.

    Cheers.
