PC Calendar....UK?

Can anyone please recommend an easy to use, PC calendar for Windows 7? And preferably one which shows the dates in UK format, i.e date/month, NOT month/date (like the American format.)
My husband does complicated shifts at work and he really needs something on his PC that he can use to highlight his days off and his holidays. We use a paper calendar but it becomes illegible after a few crossings-out!
Thanks!

Why not use Google Calendar?
https://www.google.com/calendar
If you have a smart phone you can set it up to sync with that plus it's accessible from other locations should you need to review any dates.0
