Odd credit report??

Hi, new to the boared, had a search, seen similar posts but not one where someone had my exect issue so thought i would ask...

I have a free Noodle credit report, i check it every month.

I have:

bank account with halifax never has less then 1000 in it
Credit card halifax 50-500 average monthly spend, paid off automatically, never had a penny interest on it
Isa and savings account with Halifax with several 10s thousand in
Offset mortgage with one account that was worth 72500 but i have paid that off so as such i have 16p in credit on my morgage so i dont owe a penny but its still open if i need to take money out (67500 available)
Mobile phone paid in full wach month
Live with my girlfriend, have joint account with her, always in credit
Lived in my current house 18 months, its in my girlfriends name with this mortgage in her name. This house is in her name. Other house in my name.
No loans, cars all paid cash etc.

I am currious as to why my score with noddle shows as 610 for the past year and has no dropped to 560?

I was offered 42k finance on a new car yesterday which i find odd if mt score was so low????

My names spelt differently on my accounts to my birth certificate - does that make a difference?
Does having a link financially to my other half make a difference?

Many thanks

M2

The credit scores sold by the three credit reference agencies are useless. Lenders don't get to see them and there's often no rhyme or reason why people are scored the way they are.

Don't worry about the score. By the sounds of it you've nothing to worry about. The only thing that may have happened is if the finance offer was following a credit check, having credit checks on your report can be seen as negative depending on how many you have. If its just the one, don't worry. A lot of searches can be viewed as negative.

Lenders will consider the creditworthiness of the people you're financially linked with before they lend to you, so the link will have an effect.

I don't think you need to worry about this further though. You've been offered the finance.

    That will affect nothing.

That can work both for and against you. Why against, cause they know they are not going to make a penny from you :D

Again this is savings so not reported and makes no difference.

The mortgage is good credit, and is healthy. But the available credit may not appear too good to any creditor looking to lend more.

Now you have a financial link between the two of you too. Good if the combined data is positive. Not so good if either one of you has credit problems

So as you have a joint financial association this will also show on your file too. I take it you're on the electoral roll.

Good but also can be seen as no credit history.

Cause it is a random number that has no significance in your ability to obtain credit from SOMEONE WHO LENDS. Unlike noddle.

As above your score is meaningless from the CRA. Whoever scored you for the 42k finance obviously has scored your ok and you passed their credit score. Now go down the road and you may not be as lucky as they may score differently.

No, if there is a name alias. But it's a OCD thing I'd want them to match too!

Yes because all their bad credit will affect yours, just as much as their good credit will.

    Hope that helps
