Good Morning everyone:j
Woke up to rain this morning, hopefully everything will feel much fresher today.
Evil kittens are waiting for their breakfast but I'm making them wait until fat cat shows up or he won't get anything to eat. As the kittens get bigger, they are bossing poor old fat cat around, he just wants a quiet life, not to be nagged by two minxes.....very much like my hubbyHe keeps threatening to move into the shed down the bottom of the garden, (hubby, not fat cat!) Hormones are simply raging in this house at the mo and it's a lot for poor OH to cope with:rotfl:
Halight, I'm glad to hear that you and your family had a great holiday. It doesn't matter how far you go away, it's just the complete change of scene which is a welcome break. I felt bad for our girls that we won't be going on holiday this year but as someone very wise reminded me, people pay to come to my town and holiday here so we are very fortunate to live somewhere so beautiful.
Anyway, hubby is cooking roast pork for lunch, yum, and I feel like making a pineapple upside down cake for pudding. That will be all my OS doings for today though, I need to chill out today ready for next week when hubby is at work.
Take care and as always, gentle hugs for all who want one.
Cheers m'dears x0 -

Got the family descending shortly so need to get my lasagne done.
Had some good news yesterday my brother in Yorkshire has got a job, he's been out of work years and did a diploma in health and safety. He now has a job working with a chap with learning difficulties supporting him in his home that he shares with three other residents. He will be helping him to cook, going shopping, swimming and bowling etc. I think it will suit him perfectly he is a very kind caring person I'm so pleased for him:T
It's a bit overcast here but my son has a new bow and arrow game he wants everyone to try so hopefully the rain will hold off.
I will be exhausted but happy when they are all gone.
Have a lovely day, hugs where needed J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Afternoon All,
Another lovely day here today, think we are getting the best of the UK weather.
Our local Tescos has "borrowed" my bowling club's car park to provide bouncy castles, face painting etc, so we are taking our GS down shortly to enjoy himself. He never ceases to amaze me for a 3 year old. He completed 3 x 20 piece jigsaws in about a minute each this morning. :T
He facetimed mummy and daddy a short time ago and told them all about his morning! lol
Halight - so glad you had such a relaxing holiday.
Hester - you do right to do things one step at a time; be sure to gave yourself plenty of time to recover.
Have a good day everyone. :beer:0 -
Afternoon all,
Welcome back Halight. You were missed and a big welcome to Tibawo. Glad you decided to delurk. Pleased to have you aboard.
We had so many plans for today. Hubby was going to get stuck into the garden and I was going to get stuck into the housework. I didn't do a thing yesterday apart from grocery shopping and you can tell. The dark green carpet in the living room is nearly white with Lucy dog hairs and my pink bedroom carpet has clumps of Millie dog hairs on it. I vacuumed throughout the house on Friday but you wouldn't tell by the state of the place.
Anyway, hubby got stuck into the garden and it started to rain. He worked in the rain for a time hoping the rain would stop but it was clear it wasn't going to..... So he's back inside, had a shower, clean clothes and its stopped raining. I think he has come to the realisation that he cant cope with his summer project as well as keeping on top of the garden. To get his project rebuilt and as well as working 5 - 6 days a week the garden is suffering. I really want to overhaul the garden to make it easier to maintain but hubby wont hear of it. The trees are a big worry to me.
Moving swiftly on. Middle son came to see us last night. He had a feed, dropped some of his washing off (he doesn't have a washer). I have to say it suddenly dawned on me how tall he is. I didn't actually get the tape measure out but hes got to be as tall as his Dad (5ft 11"). He's the tallest of my kids but I guess Youngest hasn't stopped growing yet.
Anyway, back to today, ive done what I wanted to upstairs, just need to tackle downstairs now. I'll do that when hubby does his accounts as he is out of the way.
Hope the rest of your day is enjoyable. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Where is everyone today?
Must be either on their holidays or chilling. We have moved on and now in a field by a farm very close to Lacock in Wiltshire. Just about to rustle up some food. Should be salad for me, but being tempted with the thought of a jacket spud, with tuna, beans and cheese. Not quite low carb!!
It has rained, but dried up now, but not a very nice night and tomorrow forecast, so may have a chill out and get my paints out day.
Take care everyone, and welcome back headlight. ((Hugs)), Spoons, and positive vibes all round. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Back again. Just finishing tea. Not our normal meat and veg but a quick burger and chips.
Managed to get one load dry but rain stopped me drying the other.
Collected my new glasses, wow the world looks clearer! Also picked up the girls school jumpers whilst in town.
I let them play out this afternoon rather than tidy as I thought it would rain later and was right!
My tv had just died on me. I'd only just taken the other upstairs! Will prob make do with that for now.
Girls at a club tomoz, will be having my smear later in savvy and then they have dance. Hoping that will give me some get and go!Don’t put it down - put it away!
