Cahoot / Santander denying knowledge of loan

Hi guys,
Hope you can help. I contacted cahoot as I had a loan with them. I understand they are now owned by Santander. I asked them to investigate a loan I had with them and they said they had no records. So I contacted my bank and for hold of historical transactions with a reference number, however they still say they need more information.
Where do I stand with this now as its going back over 10 years and I cannot lay my hands on any more info. I would have thought a reference number would have been enough?
Any advice would be great fully recieved.
Kind regards
Dave

If you sent a SAR and £10 to Santander and they came back with no info, your complaint is over. If you didn't, I suggest you send a SAR and £10 but be aware that Cahoot probably werren't regulated pre January 2005 and that if it was sold before this, your complaint can be dismissed.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Thanks guys,
One last thing...
'and how will this reveal more information?'
I would have thought they have revealed anything they had by now?
Kind Regards
